luminescent descent
The first album to be released by Diane. It took about a year to complete and picks up the story from where it left off in TFDFF.
After months of being tormented by Kix Trixter through various forms of colorful yet overstimulating mind torture, with xeir power only getting stronger with time, Diane is forced to forget the only lead she had to find her sister and decides to take a more aggressive approach to purging xeir antics.
She prepares to do the unthinkable, a self-performed lobotomy, as a last resort to save herself. However, she is stopped by Acid, who has hardly seen her since the possession and has been worried sick about her since then. He begs her not to do it, and she reluctantly agrees on one condition; that they get Kix out of her body immediately.
Acid tells her that they don't know of any way to kick xem out with force, but maybe there's some internal work she has to do in order to pry xem out.
After deciding to make one more attempt at communicating with the spirit, Diane chooses to be kinder and more understanding to xem. Xey admit that xey were drawn to her because of her broken inner-child, which allowed xem an easy passage to calibrate into her body and replace it.
Diane realizes that she has to help her smaller self heal, which requires her to let go of the guilt she's been holding onto since she lost her sister. After a good heart-to-heart with the spirit, Kix agrees to leave her body alone and fully calibrate into the current realm. Diane still refuses to tell anyone what exactly she told Kix to change xeir mind.
