AccessEase is a Chrome extension that improves on-page readability through dyslexia-friendly formatting, text-to-speech, font size adjustment, and color blind filters. This page explains what the extension does — and does not — do with your data.
What we don't do
We do not collect any personal information
We do not track your browsing history
We do not send any data to external servers
We do not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind
We do not sell or share data with third parties, because none is collected
What is stored, and where
Your feature preferences (such as which font, filter, or font size you've selected for a given website) are saved locally on your own device, using Chrome's built-in storage API. This lets your settings persist the next time you visit the same site. This data never leaves your device.
Permissions we use
activeTab — to apply your selected accessibility settings to the page you're currently viewing
storage — to remember your preferences locally, per website
Host permission (access to all websites) — needed so the extension can apply accessibility adjustments on any website you visit, not limited to a fixed list of sites
