Operation Procedure
Overview
A Drill Press is a device used for boring holes through hard surfaces. The Jet 35400 has a 1/2" Drill chuck and arbor included, 3" column for maximum head support and a 6-Spindle Speeds ranging from 375 to 5,000 RPM. The wider range of operation speeds allows for drilling both small and larger holes with quick and easy speed changes.Capabilities
Variable Speed
The Drill Press has an adjustable spindle speed between 400 to 5,000 RPM
Plunge Depth
The Drill press has an adjustable locking plunge depth of up to 6"
Adjustable Table
The height and orientation of the table is fully adjustable using the hand crank

PPE
Required: Safety glasses, closed-toed shoes, no loose or dangling items on the person (hair tied back; no necklaces, hoodie strings, etc.), no gloves should be worn.
Safety Features
The Jet 35400 uses a key tightening chuck for optimal grip on the bit. Adjust the vise by rotating the collar clockwise until snug around the shaft of the bit. Then insert the key in the indent just below the collar and rotate the key clockwise until it can no longer turn under heavy pressure. To loosen, insert the key in the same indent used when tightening and rotate counterclockwise until the vice is loose. Then loosen the collar until the bit can be removed with ease.
The Jet 35400 also has a built-in adjustable debris shield. The shield can be adjusted using the levers and nobs on the right of the head of the machine.
