Apply to Perform

ACB Organization Members who are eligible are invited to apply to perform at the Convention.

Eligibility

• Must have been a member in 2025

• Membership dues are current for 2026

• Promise to retain membership in 2027

• The band must have the ACB Blanket Performance License or show proof of covering the performance fees elsewise.

Application Information

• The application will be available until July 15, 2026.

• The application is an online application that must be completed by the Band's ACB account.  No submissions by mail are possible. If you need help with your online account, please reach out to Sarah McElfresh, webmaster@acbands.org

• The online application must be completed in one sitting.

• The selection committee will use an anonymous “blind” audition process.

• The Band will be notified by September 1, 2026, as to the results of the application process.

• The ACB will make every reasonable effort to consider your preferences for your performance date, but you must agree to accept the performance time that is offered. Concerts will be in afternoon and evening time slots.

• Selected Bands must have the ACB Blanket Performance License or show other proof of covering the performance fees.

Performance Opportunities

• Each concert will be 45 minutes including performance and announcements.

• Standard percussion equipment will be provided.

• Member band performances will be on:

  •  Wednesday, May 19

  •  Thursday, May 20

  •  Friday, May 21

  •  Saturday, May 22

Application Materials

You will need to upload the following as part of your application. No file may exceed 100 MB.

• Biography of the Band (Word or PDF, 400 words max)

• Biography of the Conductor (Word or PDF, 200 words max)

• Photograph of the Band (JPG, PNG, Tiff: 600 dpi, 1280x1024 pixels)

• Photograph of the Conductor (JPG, PNG, Tiff: 600 dpi, 800x600 pixels) 

• Band Logo (JPG, PNG)

• Music Selections (MP3, MP4) from the last two (2) years and be complete pieces or movements in single tracks

  • One selection must be a march. 

  • Selections should not exceed a maximum of 30 minutes total for all selections. 

  • The band’s name should not appear in the file name or in any audio. Please provide a title only in the name of each file.

  • No YouTube or other links will be accepted

• Optional:  Anonymized Sample Programs (PDF, Word, JPG, or PNG) from the past two (2) years. This should be only the listing of music performed on each concert with no identifying information (ie. not what was handed out to audiences, no conductors or soloists, only the Title and Composer/Arranger for each concert.)
