If you want a dedicated charging cable to power your wireless earbuds during intense play, choose Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd; if you need a versatile adapter to listen to hi-res audio and charge your phone simultaneously on the sidelines, choose Subynanal USB c.
• Abysssea Airpods Pro 2nd/3rd: The standout strength is its specialized woven design with MFi-certified safety for fast-charging wireless earbuds and iPhones up to 20W, but it is strictly a charging accessory with no audio output capabilities. This pick is for athletes who prioritize battery life and device safety while using high-end wireless headphones like AirPods.
• Subynanal USB c: Its biggest advantage is the dual functionality that allows simultaneous 60W fast charging and lossless audio playback via a 3.5mm jack, supporting up to 32-bit/384KHz resolution, though it lacks data transfer features. This pick is for users who need to extend their listening time without draining their phone battery, especially those using wired headphones or aux connections.
The Abysssea charger is engineered specifically for the modern ecosystem of wireless audio gear. If you are looking for the best headphones for basketball, this cable is the backbone of your setup because it ensures your AirPods stay powered up when you need them most. The product information confirms it is designed for the latest generations of Apple audio hardware, including the AirPods Pro 2nd and 3rd Gen, as well as the AirPods Max 2 and AirPods 4. This specificity matters because generic cables often fail to deliver the precise current required by these sensitive devices.
What makes this cable particularly compelling for active use is the construction quality. It features a woven outer material made from high-quality copper wires, which are rated to handle a maximum current of 3 amperes. In a high-intensity environment like a basketball court, where you might be moving constantly, the durability of the weave protects against tangling and wear. Furthermore, the inclusion of multi-function protection technology means the charger matches the current needs of your device automatically. This prevents overheating, allowing you to charge your earbuds safely overnight or between quarters without worrying about damaging the internal battery cells.

You should buy this if your primary goal is reliable, safe, and fast charging for your wireless earbuds. It supports data transmission rates up to 480 megabits per second, which is excellent for syncing firmware updates quickly. However, you must skip this product if you are looking for an audio solution or an adapter that lets you listen to music while your phone charges. It is a single-purpose tool optimized for power delivery, not sound reproduction. If you rely on the latest iPhone models like the iPhone 17 or 16 series, this cable provides the necessary connectivity to keep your audio gear running without interruption.
The Subynanal adapter serves a completely different purpose in the tech landscape. It is designed for users who refuse to compromise on audio fidelity or battery life. When you are on the court or watching a game, having a "hi res on ear headphones for basketball" experience is ideal, but that requires a stable power source. This adapter bridges that gap by combining a USB-C PD 3.0 charging port with a 3.5mm audio jack into a single, compact dongle. The ability to support up to 60W of Power Delivery means your phone can charge rapidly even while you are streaming high-resolution audio files.
This product shines for those who prefer wired audio solutions or need to use older headphones with new smartphones. The technical specifications indicate support for up to 32-bit and 384KHz audio sampling, which is significantly higher than the standard 24-bit/96KHz found in many cheaper adapters. For audiophiles or anyone who wants the clearest possible sound from their tracks, this difference is noticeable. It also handles volume control and line-in calling functions, making it practical for navigation calls or quick conversations during a break in the game. The compact 13 cm length ensures it is easy to carry in a pocket or bag without getting in the way.
However, this adapter has specific limitations that you must consider before buying. It explicitly does not support data transfer over the USB-C connection; the port is dedicated solely to charging and audio. Additionally, while it works with CTIA and OMTP standards, it may not support Quick Charge protocols on all newer phones, so a PD wall charger is recommended for optimal speed. You should choose this if you need to extend your listening session without worrying about your phone dying, but avoid it if you require data syncing or if your headphones use a non-standard connector. It is the perfect companion for users with Samsung Galaxy S24, Pixel 9, or recent iPhone models who want a seamless audio-and-power experience.
