Another cold night. That's alright though, he was leaving for a small "business" trip. He'll only be gone for the night- the others wouldn't even notice. He had found a note somewhere.
"You're being watched. 'They' know where you are."
'Abysm' crumples up the note and throws it to the side. Who was "they"? He picks the note back up and unfolds it, looking for any clues as to where this note came from. "That's odd... Seems like a business paper of sorts... But now, why does the posted address seem familiar?"
He packs up an overnight bag. His mask, his coat, his warhammer- all the essentials. He starts his venture to the address he saw. A few hours go by, normal travel times. He arrives at the destination.
"This must be it. 4826 Maple Drive." 'Abysm' looks the building up and down, it all just seemed so familiar to him. But... why? Walking up the steps, he notices the windows are all covered. Must be some kind of shady "business" that doesn't want the outside world to see what goes on in here.
*Knock Knock*
The door opens. A man wearing a nice suit stands there- seems to be in his 40s. He looks 'Abysm' up and down.
"Can I help you?" the man asks. His eyes shift back to the face of 'Abysm'.
"Who is the one in charge here? I'm here on... 'business' terms."
He stands there, waiting for a reply. The man turns around and makes a few gestures with his hand, as if he was signaling something to others in the area. At this point, 'Abysm' was growing restless. He didn't take his precious time to watch a shadow puppet show. He puts on a smile as the man turns around and reaches into his coat.
*Bang Bang*
The man at the door drops to the floor, clutching his chest. Blood oozes out of the holes that were put there by the gun. 'Abysm' pushes the door open, kicking the body that was now on the floor to the side. More shots go off, more thuds as bodies hit the floor. Making his way through this ran down building of sorts, he finally finds the back room- where deals are usually made. Surely, the head honcho was back there.
The door is kicked open, almost busted off the hinges. More gunshots ring out as he and the guards exchange shots in the room. He took a few bullets to the shoulder, but the guards were no more. All that remained- Dante Voss. 'Abysm' didn't recognize him due to his... circumstances. Dante looked at him, and gave him a smirk.
"So nice of you to join me, Elias."
"I don't know who you're talking to, but it sure isn't me. What do you want?" He looked at Dante with an indifferent expression on his face. He felt nothing but the warm blood seeping into his white button up.
"I want to know why you ran off. We use to be buddies, partners! Why?! You made good money! Had good benefits- a home!"
"Quite frankly, I have clue what you're referring to. I do have a home, and it sure as hell wasn't here." 'Abysm' lifts the muzzle of the gun to Dante's head. The light in the room flickers for a minute. It was an old, worn down room. Many gunfights have happened here.
"Elias, Elias, Elias." Dante said as he clicks his teeth. "You do realize, you are the one that's hurt here- not me, right?" He grabs his own firearm off the table, now pointing it right back at 'Abysm'.
"You took a few shots there, it must hurt. Put the gun down and let us talk. We can treat that shoulder of yours." 'Abysm' drops his gun, preparing for anything to happen. He holds his hands up, letting a black flame trail down to where the shots had hit him in his shoulder. The wounds close up, as if nothing had happened. All that remained there were the holes in the bloodstained shirt.
"Well, isn't that fancy. I see why you ran off now." The lights flicker once more, and 'Abysm' was no longer there. Dante looks around, confused as to where the other man had gone.
"Yoo-hoo, dickhead." Dante quickly turns around, only to be greeted by a warhammer to the jaw- 'Abysm' used a golf swing. He flies back into the table, knocking over a few chairs around it. 'Abysm' picks him up by the collar of his shirt, holding him up in the air.
"Again, what do you want." Dante sputters nonsense, trying to form words. His jaw was crushed. Blood bubbles up out of his mouth. "What was that? I can't understand a damn thing you're saying." He throws a punch right into his nose, again sending him flying into the wall. Dante sits there with his back against the wall, dazed from the blow.
'Abysm' crouches in front of Dante. "Take this as a lesson. Don't look for me anymore." He grabs his mask from the bag he brought with him and puts it on. "Remember this mask." He throws the warhammer back into the bag and stands up. The door slams shut behind him. 'Abysm' walks outside of the building, bag over his shoulder. He dusts his hands off and sticks them in his pockets, leaving the scene.
