Abortions and the Bible

Abortion and Children

 Breath of Life (living soul/spirit)

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

Life is in the Blood

23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. Deuteronomy 12:23

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Leviticus 17:11

Children are Sinners from the moment of conception:

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalms 51:5

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

 Conception is given by God:

13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son. Ruth 4:13

 Abortion and the spirit

Child’s spirit given by God:

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7

Children of Christian’s safe until reaching the age of accountability:

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 1 Corinthians 7:14

If the wife is a believer and the husband is unsaved, the unsaved is sanctified by the believing wife (sanctified, that is set apart unto God, not saved but sanctified. )  So if there is one believing parent then your children are clean and holy). Hopefully both are believing parents. But God counts your children as clean.

Your children are clean and holy and are in heaven.

If both parents are unsaved/ not believers then this verse applies:

(5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Ephesians 5:5   ----------------  (This verse applies to unbelievers and children of unbelievers, not to believers who are under the Blood of Jesus, and the believers children who are "clean" and "holy" until reaching the age of accountability. see I Cor. 7:14)

Jacob and Esau:

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 -- It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:11-16
