ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will explore the narratives of people who tried to speak out against the conditions and atrocities committed at Residential Schools. Although the context of this unit is the BC First Peoples 12 course, participants will leave with a booklet of resources that can be adapted to any grade.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
I am an educator with 28 years of teaching experience. I have taught every grade but currently specialize in Humanities 9 and Social Studies including BC First Peoples 12 and History 12. I have been the Social Justice (EDI) Department Head at Langley Fine Arts for a couple of years because being vocal about equality and inclusion is very important to me.
