Biography
I received my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, in 2007. I received my Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering from the College of Nuclear Science and Technology, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2020. I have worked on R&D projects both in the government and academia, and I was a funded visiting scholar at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, Monterey, USA; ROSATOM Technical Academy, Obninsk, Russia, and at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy.
I am currently a Research Associate in Nuclear Instrumentation and Control at the Nuclear Futures Institute, Bangor University, Wales, UK. My research focuses on the development and utilization of data-driven and physics-based models for intelligent control, fault diagnosis, predictive maintenance, process optimization, cybersecurity, and human operators’ decision support. My work is geared towards improving the safety, security, and efficiency of low-carbon power production and enhancing the load-following capability of next-generation nuclear reactors.
My current work is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government, and my research interests include:
· Industrial AI
· Resilient control of low-carbon energy sources
. Modelling and Simulation
· Intelligent machinery fault diagnosis, prognosis, and predictive maintenance
· Cyber-physical security of industrial control systems
· Multi-objective process optimization
· Fissile material security and safeguard
