“distance zero” in the Palestinian context refers to the idea of eliminating physical and psychological barriers that separate palestinians from their land, resources, and each other. It represents the longing for a future where Palestinians can live in a society where distance is no longer a barrier to their rights and aspirations.

“distance zero” is an installation artwork and a narrative of people’s resistance throughout the years and endurance ahead of the occupier which led to the current war and a symbol of hope to the future of palestine  to reach freedom.

The installation incorporates the principles of deconstructivism in architecture design. The focus is on framing the new elements in a way that they pop out, while still respecting and emphasizing the significance of the old building. This concept  creates a visually striking and thought-provoking experience for visitors, showcasing the evolution of the site while preserving its historical value.

تشير “المسافة صفر” في السياق الفلسطيني إلى فكرة إزالة الحواجز المادية والنفسية التي تفصل الفلسطينيين عن أرضهم ومواردهم وعن بعضهم البعض. إنه يمثل الشوق إلى مستقبل يستطيع فيه الفلسطينيون العيش في مجتمع لم تعد فيه المسافة عائقًا أمام حقوقهم وتطلعاتهم.

“مسافة صفر” عمل فني تركيبي وسرد لمقاومة الشعب على مر السنين وصموده أمام المحتل الذي أدى إلى الحرب الحالية ورمز الأمل لمستقبل فلسطين للوصول إلى الحرية.

يتضمن العمل مبادئ التفكيكية في التصميم المعماري. وينصب التركيز على تصوير العناصر الجديدة بطريقة تظهر بها، مع احترام أهمية الهياكل القديمة والتأكيد عليها. يخلق هذا المفهوم تجربة بصرية مذهلة ومثيرة للتفكير للزوار، حيث يعرض تطور الموقع مع الحفاظ على قيمته التاريخية.
