With backing from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the AI and Biodiversity Change Global Climate Center is helping to co-sponsor the CV4Ecology Workshop, a rigorous three-week program tailored for ecologists. The program aims to familiarize participants with computer vision (CV) methods, enabling them to efficiently analyze extensive image, audio, or video datasets. Hosted at Caltech, the workshop endeavors to impart applied CV skills to ecologists, empowering them to construct their own CV-based systems and foster an interdisciplinary CV for Ecology community. Moreover, the initiative seeks to grant students access to computational resources through Microsoft AI for Earth and Amazon AWS, providing $2.5K in credits to facilitate the advancement of their research projects.
Applications are currently being accepted for the program. Those who have questions about the program can contact cv4ecology@caltech.edu for more information.
