Abbey Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons which meets in Abingdon-on Thames, was founded in 1863, in what was then the County Town of Berkshire. Abingdon is now within the administrative county of Oxfordshire, Abbey Lodge however, remains within the Masonic Province of Berkshire and is the 7th oldest of its 100 lodges.

W. Bro. Len Freeman

We regret to announce that Bro. Len passed to the Grand Lodge above on 26th December 2021. He was initiated into Abbey Lodge on 12th December 1968 and was elected an Honourary Member earlier this year, in recognition of his 53 years as a member of the lodge.

Our friendly lodge welcomes visiting Freemasons and, enquiries from anyone wanting to know more about Freemasonry, Abbey lodge or how to become a Freemason.

Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from October to May and commence at 7:00 pm apart from October which is at 6:30 pm.
