The AAUW Wyandotte-Downriver Foundation (AAUW-WDF) Scholarship Program was created in 2012 with the intent to provide assistance with tuition, books, fees, supplies, etc., to residents of any of the nineteen Downriver communities who have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours, and are currently full-time students.
Since 2012, the AAUW-WDF has partnered with Baker College, Lawrence Institute of Technology, Henry Ford College, Oakland University, Madonna University, Monroe County Community College, and Wayne County Community College District to obtain recipients for Scholarships. Wyandotte High School administers, in our name, The Kathleen Bain Scholarship. Ms. Bain, a former WHS teacher, was a longtime active member of our Branch. Students may contact WHS directly to obtain application information.
