Debrief from the General Faculty Meeting, meet new & old friends who are passionate about shared governance and academic freedom!
ICYMI
At our recent Chapter Meeting, we summarized our recent “issue campaigns” on Shared Governance, gave updates on Academic Freedom, and introduced a new campaign on Salary Inequity.
We also shared plans for next semester:
a Legislator Forum in February, where we’ll invite local representatives serving in the Missouri legislature to speak on bills related to education proposed for the 2024 session, and we can share questions and opinions with them
an Advocacy Day in March, where we join together with AAUP chapters at other colleges and universities around the state and visit the Capitol as a group to build relationships with legislators and share a positive message about who we are
