Effective soon, an updated Advance Booking Withdrawal process will be applied for any advance booking cancellation initiated by a driver. This fee will be charged immediately upon cancellation.

When does the new penalty fee take effect?
The new penalty fee will take effect on September 2, 2024, at 10 AM.
What is the amount of the penalty fee?
The penalty fee is RM15.
Does the penalty fee apply to all advance booking cancellations?
Yes, the penalty fee applies to all advance booking driver cancellations.
Is there a grace period for cancellations?
No, there is no grace period. The penalty fee will be charged immediately upon cancellation.
Does the penalty fee apply to bookings that are cancelled by the passenger?
No, the penalty fee only applies to cancellations initiated by the driver.
Are there any exceptions to the penalty fee?
In exceptional cases, the penalty fee may be waived. However, this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
What happens if a driver cancels a booking due to an emergency?
If a driver cancels a booking due to an emergency, they may be eligible for a waiver of the penalty fee. However, they will need to provide supporting documentation to substantiate their claim.
Can the penalty fee be waived under certain circumstances?
Yes, the penalty fee may be waived in exceptional cases, such as emergencies.
(eg: Car Breakdown, Accident, Sick and etc)
However, supporting documentation and proof is required to validate the claim.
What types of supporting documents are acceptable?
Acceptable supporting documents may include medical certificates, police reports, or repair bills.
What happens if a driver fails to provide supporting documentation for an emergency claim?
If a driver fails to provide supporting documentation, the penalty fee will not be waived.
How to become airasia ride independent driver?

Register in airasia ride driver App. Complete and submit the form.
It may take up to 7 working days to activate your driver account.
*Please check with APAD (03-2603 6700) if your previous E-hailing Vehicle Permit was cancelled. You are required to change your vehicle to "Kenderaan persendirian individu" with JPJ & Puspakom before apply a new EVP.
Once your application is approved, your driver account will be activated.
What you need to do before your first drive:
Check your location and battery settings.
Make sure you always enable location settings for airasia ride driver app.
Turn Online and start your journey with airasia Ride!
Depending on the area you're at, job cards will come almost immediately. If there's no job coming in, you can try to explore other area.
What to do if you still don't receive any job:
Once all the settings are enabled, you should be able to receive jobs. If there's still no job coming in, please get in touch with our customer support team to investigate the issue.
