The A3 Foresight Workshop brings together leading mathematicians from Korea, China, and Japan to foster a new paradigm at the interface of mathematics and artificial intelligence. As scientific discovery increasingly relies on data-driven approaches, there is a growing need for principled mathematical frameworks that ensure interpretability, robustness, and predictive power beyond conventional AI methods.
This workshop aims to establish a collaborative platform for advancing “Math × AI” synergy, where mathematical theory and machine learning are integrated to address fundamental challenges in complex systems. Topics will span a broad range of emerging areas, including dynamical systems, stochastic modeling, scientific machine learning, and data-driven inference, with applications to biology, medicine, and beyond.
A central goal of the workshop is to build a long-term tri-national research network that leverages complementary strengths across Korea, China, and Japan. Through invited talks, focused discussions, and strategic planning sessions, participants will identify key research directions and lay the foundation for next-generation scientific innovation driven by mathematics and AI.
