PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The "Microwave Agribot" is a unique robotic design that incorporates advanced technologies to address the issue of weed management in row crop farming. The NVIDIA Jetson Nano-powered robot is equipped with a LiDAR or RGB camera for navigation, allowing it to move precisely through the fields. It features a 4-wheel differential drive system for better maneuverability, which enables it to move over the crops and cover multiple rows in a single pass, resulting in faster weed removal.
The robot identifies weeds and crops using an Intel RealSense RGB-Depth camera facing downwards and then uses precise microwave radiation attached at the bottom of the robot to kill the weeds. This non-thermal weed control method has the potential to be highly effective, and it can be used without damaging the crops. The robot is designed to work specifically for row farming patterns, making it a versatile tool for farmers. The fast weed removal capability of the robot, coupled with its high accuracy, will help farmers save time and reduce labor costs, which in turn will increase the efficiency of their farms.
