Are We There Yet? Finetuning Your Spiritual GPS: In the Underground with Sally Hundley. We all know that the plan is for us adults to be the spiritual guides in our families, but what does that look like? In our daily lives, we are running hard and fast and our best plans seem to require lots of u-turns. Sometimes, we aren’t sure if we know enough to be along for the ride much less the guides. We think we have answers and then get completely lost in a maze of starts and stops. All of it makes us want to turn it over to someone else. Join us for this 5-week class to map out how to use Bible study, the theology of the United Methodist Church, and the rule of 5 to follow God’s true plans for spiritual growth in your family. August 23-November 8
Shape: August 30th (one time course) Room 210 (room above the fellowship hall). This class includes a free book! To supplement the material from this sermon series, we are also offering a one-time class, “Know Your SHAPE." SHAPE stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. Join us for a special seminar to help you not only to discern your spiritual gifts, but seek ways to apply your gifts to the life of our congregation at Long’s Chapel. August 30th only.

Opportunities for Children and Youth
Learning to Use My Bible: In order for children to take an interest in the Bible, they need to know how to use it comfortably. As they become comfortable, they begin to see the Bible as a lifelong companion. This study offers a fun, hands-on approach to learning more about the Bible with maps, games, and charts. It is perfect for all elementary-aged students. Meet up with us on the playground at 6:15 pm. Classes end at 7:30 pm.
Lifegroups, Smallgroups, KapOW!, PNO, RTU, Mission Trips, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Called, CEB. . . The list goes on and on and the pile of letter tiles sure gets confusing. Let us assist you to make sense of it all—and help you to get your child, youth, and family ready to be a part of all things for the Under 18 crowd here at LCUMC. Join us Wednesday, August 23 at 6:30 pm in the Underground.
