How to shift from surviving to thriving during a crisis
According to the Oxford Dictionary, the definition of crisis is a time of great danger, difficulty, or doubt when problems must be solved, or important decisions must be made. The pandemic has disrupted everyone’s lives and has uncovered where we struggle with equity, access, and capacity. As outlined in the Frontier Poll, learning technologies are on the front lines of the response to the pandemic.
Failure to educate imposes high costs on society as poorly educated people limit economies’ capacity to produce, grow, and innovate. Our OER “Learning in a time of crisis” is a reflection of what education was, how education can be reimagined by looking at well-being, equity, and deep learning, what challenges we still face, and what we hope the future of education looks like.
