Modern commercial alarm systems have made great strides in the last few years. Making a loud sound in case of a break-in/smash & grab is not enough.
Modern alarm systems do not require unconnected or local installations. The equipment offers greater security and reliability. Our clients can keep in touch with their business via a flexible mobile app and professional monitoring.
Business alarm systems can have many components. Each one of these components has a specific role. A strong commercial security system can be created if they are well-assembled. These are the key components of an alarm-system:
Detection Devices
Detection equipment detects when an intruder enters your property. Commercial security installations can use many different types, such as:
Contact Switches – These are used to check if doors and windows are open or shut. These switches can be used for exterior doors and windows. But they can also work in the interior of a building, such as inside a store room. To monitor a storeroom.
Motion Detector – A motion sensor detects the presence of people within a building. They are usually passive infrared (PIR) detectors that detect body heat. They are typically installed throughout the property.
Glass Breakage Detectors are often located near windows or glass doors that surround a building's perimeter. If someone breaks glass, the alarm system will activate before they enter the building.
Signaling Devices
When intrusions are detected, a signaling device is activated. This could be a siren, a bell, or a visual signal such as a flashing light. The intruder will now know that he is being watched and, in most cases, will retreat quickly. The building's surrounding residents are also informed so that they can take the appropriate actions. An external strobe light may be used to alert emergency services to the alarm.
Arming Stations or Keypads
Arming stations are used to turn the intrusion alarm system "on" or "off". They are located within the building at the exit doors. This allows the last person who leaves the building to arm and disarm the alarm. This can be done using a code on an alarm station or keypad. This provides more flexibility and advanced functionality like arming only certain parts of a building or providing system diagnostics.
Arming stations can indicate whether the alarm has been activated or turned off. An example of this is a keypad arming system that will tell if a door has been open.
Control Equipment
All alarm activities are processed by the control panel for the business alarm system. All alarm systems are connected to the control panel, including signalling devices, arming stations and detection devices. These control panels are computers made specifically for alarm systems.
Alarm Transmission
The alarm transmission equipment transmits a message to professional monitoring or to authorities whenever an alarm is set off. The messages are sent by regular telephone lines, cellular and internet devices.
You can have your alarm system integrated with additional systems in order to increase your security.
Access Control: With a Card Access Control system, you can control who has access and when.
Fire Protection: By connecting your ULC or smoke detector, the alarm transmission device can be used to notify the fire department
Security System for Business gives you instant and reliable information about any security incident. The quality of outdoor and indoor cameras has greatly improved. In almost all cases, we can see what has triggered an alarm. This allows us to trigger the correct alarm response from dispatching security personnel to alerting the authorities.
We will assist you in setting up a fully integrated alarm network. Our experienced team will help you monitor any auxiliary devices like compressors, generators or key building equipment. We can integrate existing security equipment and maximize your return on investment if it is already in place.
You can use a mobile app to keep track of what is happening at your business, even if it's not your office. We will notify you with any information that you require using the video surveillance tools. This information can include a visual overview of who is at your building, which doors are locked, as well as whether the alarm system is armed.
Our security systems include professional monitoring that keeps an eye on your company 24 hours a days. Your assets, building, and personnel are safe even when you are away on vacation or asleep.
