Mirror life (also called mirror-image life) is a hypothetical form of life with mirror-reflected molecular building blocks.[1][2][3][4][5] The possibility of mirror life was first discussed by Louis Pasteur.[6] Although this alternative life form has not been discovered in nature, efforts to build a mirror-image version of biology's molecular machinery are already underway.[7]

So I've created a mesh item and because it requires a mirrored version to complete the set I've gone ahead and mirrored the model in Blender (2.63). It appears to look fine in Blender but when I go to upload it into the game it appears "inside out", partially invisible and unsmoothed.

Blacked out uv maps ? You mean the mirrored object has no texture or shows in black ? Maybe the association of textures to objects has changed although i can't imagine how that could happen automatically.

The one with a - value in X is the original object I believe. For some reason, having resolved the UV problem, when I go to export that mesh and upload into SL it's the same as my mirrored mesh. I'm so damn confused...

When i need mirrored object i usualy do this...normaly on original object i apply location,rotation and scale,than use mirror modifier,apply it,select mirrored part in edit and separate vertecies so i get 2 objects,newer needed to flip normals or annything when i did that...

Thanks for the response, I have been trying that but the mirrored status will not even come up as an option to choose no matter how I try, am i doing dsomething wrong or am I not understanding something about the automation?

I found it in these forums somewhere by a Monday admin/moderator. I cannot for the life of me find the forum again, they had a bunch of diffrent ones I wish I screen shotted it, I wish they were more transparent with these things cause this has changed my boards so much.
