Plectus Inkwell is part of the elusive wandering scribes who travel The Continent, documenting what calls to them into their curling manuscripts and scrolls. He was born someplace on the road, and was raised someplace further down, his troupe rarely settling any place for more than a week or so. On these journeys, he seemed to find his calling in the stretches of fields and the winding coastlines, and set his journey to document them.
He is most well-known for creating the famous Map of the Deadlands, the first comprehensive map of the western reaches of The Continent that served as a basis for all future maps of the area, and paved the way for future explorers.
After completion of his life's work, Plectus seems to fall from any historical record and, for all intents and purposes, vanished.
