I think he was totally confident about the songs. The insecurity may have been, if the Beatles kept going, "How many songs am I going to be able to get on each album?", and with the backlog sort of mounting up ... [to] get it out there, and get something from it.[54]

In her review of 1+, for Paste, Gillian Gaar says that with the Beatles' promotional films of their singles, from "Love Me Do" to "Something" (the last one they made during their career), "you can see the development of the promo clip, progressing from a short film that simply served up a straight performance to a piece of work that was striving to be something more artistic."[87]

By 1972, over 150 artists had recorded "Something".[164][165] In his 1996 Harrison biography The Quiet One, Alan Clayson said the song had attracted "nearly 200 cover versions".[138] In 1972, Harrison told music journalist Mike Hennessey that the Robinson and Cocker versions were among his favourites.[164] In later interviews, he said that the best cover version was a recording by James Brown,[156][166] in which the singer declares "I got to believe in something!" over the main riff.[138] Harrison commented that the recording was relatively obscure in Brown's catalogue: "It was one of his B-sides. I have it on my jukebox at home. It's absolutely brilliant."[167]

Harrison included "Something" in all of his subsequent, and rare, full-length concert appearances.[183] For his 1974 North American tour with Ravi Shankar, he had been reluctant to feature any material from the Beatles' catalogue,[184] but at the urging of Shankar and Preston during rehearsals, he added "Something" to the setlist.[185] To the disappointment of many fans, he chose to alter some of the song's lyrics (such as changing the first line to "If there's something in the way, remove it").[186] Further distancing himself from the Beatles' legacy, Harrison told journalists at the start of the tour that he would join a group with Lennon "any day" but rejected the idea of working again with McCartney, since he preferred Willie Weeks as a bassist.[187] MacDonald comments that this statement was likely in reference to McCartney's "too fussily extemporised" bass part on the Beatles' 1969 recording.[10] With Boyd having left Harrison for Clapton earlier in 1974,[188] Larry Sloman of Rolling Stone described the reworked "Something" as "a moving diary of his love life".[189]

When the pandemic pushed people indoors, it seemed as though there was a quietly reached consensus that it was time to touch the earth anew. People posted images on their social media accounts of their seeds and sprouts and their little patches of something on balconies and in side yards. I joined this in my little corner as the world slowed down. As a nation we were already growing to understand the importance of sustainability and the existential threat of climate change. Community garden projects and recycling plans have proliferated over the past couple of decades. But during shelter in place it seems touching and tending to plants has become both more universal and more essential.

I just got my new EOS R6 Mk2 camera body today, bought it directly from the Canon online store, got it from DHL, undamaged box, packaging intact. But then as I take out the camera body I noticed a sound as if there is something loose inside the camera. I kept checking and there is nothing wrong on the outside, but every time I shake it even just a little bit I can hear that very obvious noise.

Has any of you had this situation? if the camera operates OK, but has this sound as if it was a damaged, refurbished gear, that I paid about full price (not cheap), why should I have to settle for something that is not entirely to my satisfaction? shouldn't I be able to return it and get another one?

That's what a friend of mine told me. And I can hear the rattle all the time, just as I pick it up and with any shaking movement. If that is the IBIS indeed, I would assume that is not something that should be loose, would it? otherwise, it would be like that on every single model.

Hi, thanks for posting your case. I just received my R6 Mark II and I had the same impression, that something was loose inside. I contacted the store that sold me the camera and they informed me that this noise is due to the IBIS, and that it should go away with the camera on. I turned the camera on, and indeed the noise went away. Therefore, I would say that it's normal and expected. I am keeping mine like it is.

A local friend ordered something from my shop and asked that I hand deliver it next time I see it instead of ship it. Would it harm my shop if I didn't ship it? Or if I didn't buy a label? What would happen?

Same issue albeit slightly different. Camera worked fine, yesterday had a new verizon router installed in the house. Original Nest products were a breeze to update, just update the new wifi router and password. Google products are the problem. Google Display required removal and reinstall, more difficult than a wifi network update. Google Indoor/Outdoor camera won't finish set up (also required complete removal and reset). I have reset the camera to factory default, I have rebooted my iphone, I have turned airplane on and off. I keep getting to finish up mode and get the "something went wrong" after multiple minutes.

Your model recognizes certain simple, single-frame gestures like a thumbs-up. But for a truly responsive, accurate system, you want your model to recognize gestures in the context of everyday objects. Is the person pointing to something or wagging their index finger? Is the hand cleaning the display or zooming in and out of an image with two fingers? Given enough examples, your model can learn the difference.

The Something-Something dataset (version 2) is a collection of 220,847 labeled video clips of humans performing pre-defined, basic actions with everyday objects. It is designed to train machine learning models in fine-grained understanding of human hand gestures like putting something into something, turning something upside down and covering something with something.

For each video in the training and validation sets there is an object annotation in addition to the video label, if applicable. For example, for a label like "Putting [something] onto [something]," there is also an annotated version, such as "Putting a cup onto a table." In total, there are 318,572 annotations involving 30,408 unique objects.
