A place to share my travels and inspiration
Look around...The world is a magnificent place. Here you will see some of what I have seen, and places I want to see. Links are also included to help you explore the world around you as well.
Welcome to my corner of the world. I decided to create this site to share some photos of my travels, as well as links to some various useful resources, and perhaps inspire you to explore the world around you.
A little intro- I love to travel; always have, always will. This world so large, with so much to see, it amazes me when I meet people who have never left the town or state from which they reside. I traveled some previously, but then really got active during the COVID time. I work in the hospitality industry, and meeting people from all over, made me begin asking them where they were from..whats the best things to see there..and whats on their bucketlist. It was during the Great Shutdown that I began reading travel blogs and watching reels on Instagram. I discovered the power of Google Maps! (not just getting directions, that easy. I'm talking about creating your own map, where you can pin places/things you want to see, or have seen.) Thus, My Bucketlist Map was made.
Youy can check out my map by clicking the link above. But now, I will give you a run down on creating your own:
1)If you don't already have a Google Account (get one. its free)
2) Goto MyMaps
3) click Create A Map. Give it a Name, and start mapping.
You can create different layers, with different interests on each layer, or just have 1 layer
In the search bar at top of map, put your point of interest and select the one you want
Google zooms in and drops a Pin with a pop up box with title, address, phone, etc..
At the bottom, there's a +Add to map. Click that and its now added to Your Map
Once added, theres a few icons that appear, allowing you to change the color, add text (links) pictures, directions, or trash it.
Continue doing this adding as many spots as you want!
