Privacy Policy for SudokuCubed
General Information
SudokuCubed is a 3D puzzle and logic application developed by Karsten König. Protecting your privacy and providing a transparent gaming experience is our top priority. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our app and the integrated Google Play Services.
Local Data Storage (Offline Usage)
Most of your game data is stored locally on your device to ensure a fast and offline-capable experience. This includes:
Game Progress: Your current cube state, solved puzzles, and high scores.
User Assets: Your remaining "Bolts" (energy) and regeneration timestamps.
Settings: Your chosen themes and difficulty preferences. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Google Play Games Services (Leaderboards & Achievements)
SudokuCubed uses Google Play Games Services to provide competitive features such as global leaderboards and achievements.
Data Collected: When you are signed in to Google Play Games, Google collects information such as your player ID, game activity (e.g., time to solve a puzzle), and unlocked achievements.
Purpose: This data is used to rank you against other players and to sync your achievements across devices.
Data Controller: This data is managed by Google. You can control your privacy settings and view your data through the Google Play Games app or your Google Account settings.
Third-Party Services & Payments
Google Play Billing: For "Pro version" purchases, Google handles the transaction. We do not see or store your credit card or payment details. We only receive a confirmation (token) from Google to unlock your features.
Data Encryption: All communication between SudokuCubed and Google services (Billing, Games Services) is conducted over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Permissions
Notifications: Used to notify you when your energy (Bolts) has been recharged.
Internet Access: Required for communication with Google Play Services (Billing, Leaderboards, and Achievements).
Identity: Required by Google Play Games Services to identify your player profile for leaderboard entries.
Data Deletion and Control
You have full control over your data:
Local Data: You can delete all locally stored information by using the "Clear Progress" function in the app settings or by uninstalling the app.
Cloud Data: To delete your leaderboard entries or achievement data, you must use the management tools provided by Google within the Google Play Games profile settings.
