Welcome to the world’s first global digital security awareness scavenger hunt - we are super excited to have you join us!

Scavenger hunts are a fun and engaging way to train your workforce on key security behaviors, policies, or resources. They are low cost, customizable and scalable, require very few technical resources, and can be great fun. We have designed this scavenger hunt for security professionals like yourself, so the questions and clues are designed around managing human risk. As you go through the questions, think of what questions you would want to ask your workforce, what behaviors you would want to promote or company policies you would want to remind people of? Be sure to see Neaka Balloge’s talk at the Summit on 5 August on how to build your own online Security Awareness Scavenger Hunt just in time for October.

YOUR MISSION

Digital scavenger hunts are similar to Capture the Flag (CTF) events. However, instead of capturing flags your goal is to solve a series of clues by finding answers across the Internet. This hunt has three tiers; your goal is to complete all three. You cannot start a new tier until you have completed the previous one. Warning: each tier will get progressively harder!

RULES REMINDER

  • All forms will remain open until 5pm EDT on Saturday, 15 August 2020. As you complete each tier you will be instructed how to submit your answers.

  • You must uncover all of the answers of a tier to get the code that will allow you to advance to the next tier.

  • You may NOT share / post answers to any of the clues on any social media platforms; doing so disqualifies you from the event.

Scroll down to access our first set of clues in the Google Form. The clues will ask you to search across the Internet to find answers hidden amongst resources related to security awareness. Your answers to the clues will allow you to piece together the key required to move on to Tier 2. Don't forget to hit SUBMIT at the bottom of the form once you input all responses.
