The Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI) propounded the Plasma Scholars’ Colloquium series which was started in the year 2012 and has been conducted annually ever since then. The Plasma Scholars’ Colloquium provides a platform exclusively for students, research scholars and post- doctoral fellows working in the areas of plasma and fusion science & technology to have extremely thorough and exhaustive interactions among the young researchers and help each other in their research endeavor. The colloquium will include a few talks by eminent scientists, oral and poster presentations by participants.

Who can apply 

PhD/PostDoc/MSc
The colloquium is open to research scholars and PostDocs working in the area of theoretical/computational and/or experimental plasma science and technology. The number of participants is limited to 100. Limited travel support will be provided through PSSI. Participants are encouraged to apply to other funding agencies for travel support too.
A limited number of M.Sc. Physics students who are highly motivated toward research in plasma physics will be considered. Such students will need to provide a statement of purpose for attending the conference.  

Awards and Certificates

Three best ORAL presentations and three best POSTER presentations will be awarded cash prizes and a certificate. All registered participants who attend the colloquium will get a participation certificate.
