"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:18
Our Mission
Dancing with Jesus is an opportunity to experience movement practices and techniques with an approach that is rooted in the Father to communicate, praise, worship and prayer through dance. We create a safe space to discover and give language to the pursuit of God and dance. We desire to be a refuge to teach dance principles that address the heart and life of a dancer according to the Scriptures to be free in your movement.
We engage dance leaders by providing training that is rooted in scripture and creates spaces for excellence, healing, and friendship with God. Dancing with Jesus enriches the experience of dance artists by encouraging clarity in one's individual expression. Lastly, Dancing with Jesus is an opportunity for the community to experience dance in a new way, without fear or consideration of what they think they lack, but with the audacity to be free.
What is Dance?
Dance is using the anatomy of the body to create shapes and lines that convey ideas, express emotions and connect with others. It’s a weapon of the natural body that calls to action the things of the spiritual realm using physical demands and demonstration from a place of faith and power. Dance is to listen, to play, to work, to rest, to respond.
What does it mean to dance with Jesus?
To dance with Jesus is to initiate a conversation that requires prioritizing His presence. An invitation to partner with His mission and purposes. Allowing your body to be guided by the human expressions towards Jesus and yet allowing Jesus, the word, to come alive in the body and the atmosphere in response, creating a phrase of prayerful expression, surrender, and testimony.
Be available to unravel and come undone. By the love of the Father, through the cross, the restoration of your soul is revealed.
It’s sacred.
