Still images of my area BADGE

How do I add a "View historic images of my area" [in the DLG] badge to my library's website?

Libraries can add a canned search badge to their library website that searches DLG for still images of their area.

  1. Choose the image type you'd like to use on your web page. We have provided 400 x 600 pixel image files. If these are too large, you may wish to resize and load on your own server. You will load this text into the img tag in the html snippet below.

Image file URLs (400 x 600 pixels)

  • JPG no border,
  • JPG with border,
  • PNG no border,
  • PNG with border,

2. Create the html snippet to add to your website.

For a single county: <a href="[CountyName]&f_inclusive%5Btype_facet%5D%5B%5D=StillImage&sort=score+desc%2C+year+asc&search_field=advanced&commit=Search"><img src="[imagefileURL]"></a>

e.g., For Bartow County using a JPG with no border, for example: <a href=""><img src=""></a>

For multiple counties: <a href="[COUNTY1]&f_inclusive%5Bcounties_facet%5D%5B%5D=[COUNTY2]&f_inclusive%5Btype_facet%5D%5B%5D=StillImage&sort=score+desc%2C+year+asc&search_field=advanced&commit=Search"><img src="[imagefileURL]"></a>

For Calhoun, Clay, Quitman, Randolph, Terrell, and Webster using a JPG with a border, for example,

<a href=""><img src=""></a>

3. After clicking on the badge, patrons will be taken to a DLG list of still images for your specified area.

Note: Loading the HTML code on your local computer will not display properly (images will be broken). The code will need to be uploaded to your website for images to display properly.
