Ansab Al Ashraf By Baladhuri Pdf 14
Ansab Al Ashraf (The Lineages of the Nobles) is a monumental work of early Islamic history and genealogy, written by Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Baladhuri (d. ca. 279/892), one of the most prominent historians of his time. The book covers the history of the Arabs from the pre-Islamic era to the Abbasid caliphate, with a special focus on the Prophet Muhammad and his family, the Umayyads, the Abbasids, and their allies and opponents. The book also contains valuable information on the geography, culture, and politics of the regions where the Arabs expanded, such as Persia, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and Khurasan.
The book is divided into several volumes, each dealing with a specific topic or group of people. The first volume is dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad and his immediate family, the second to his companions and their descendants, the third to the Umayyads and their supporters, the fourth to the Abbasids and their allies, and the fifth to the non-Arab peoples who converted to Islam or interacted with the Arabs. The sixth volume, which is divided into two parts (A and B), covers various topics that did not fit into the previous volumes, such as poetry, anecdotes, battles, treaties, and biographies of prominent figures.
