2025 FIRST DIVE

On Jan 4, 2025 Loretto Lightning gathered around and watched the reveal of the 2025 season game reveal. This year the theme is water. Each alliance of three robots starts in their zone, then tasked with picking up game pieces. Then place them on the purple reef-like structure in the center of their zone to earn points. 

GAME BREAKDOWN

Theme: 

Underwater exploration, with a focus on coral reef health and ocean conservation.

Objective: 

Alliances of three teams each must collect algae, seed coral onto their designated reef area on their barge, and then ascend to the surface to score points.

Robot actions: 

Move around the field to locate and collect algae Manipulate coral pieces to seed onto the reef Navigate to the designated "surface" area on the barge to ascend Choose to hang either a "shallow" or "deep" cage on their barge

Scoring: 

Points are awarded based on the amount of algae collected, coral seeded, and successful ascents to the surface.

Autonomous period: 

Robots can start with a preloaded coral piece and perform autonomous actions at the beginning of the match.
