88 Mate is a personal working holiday tracking app designed to help users record workdays, job details, pay notes, locations, evidence notes, and exported records.
88 Mate is a personal record-keeping tool only. It is not an official Australian Government app and does not provide migration, visa, legal, employment, tax, or government advice.
88 Mate may store information that you choose to enter, including:
work dates
employer names
job details
hours worked
pay notes
location notes
evidence notes
uploaded or attached evidence files
saved board entries
app language preferences
local backup/export files created by the user
This information is entered by the user for personal tracking purposes.
88 Mate is designed as a local-first app.
The app stores your entered information locally on your device/app environment. The app does not require an account login, cloud account, or online sync in this version.
If you uninstall the app, clear app data, reset your browser/app storage, or change devices without exporting a backup, your saved information may be lost.
If you attach evidence files, those files may be stored as part of the app’s local data on your device/app environment.
Large files may increase local storage use. You are responsible for keeping original copies of payslips, timesheets, bank records, employment records, and other evidence somewhere safe outside the app.
88 Mate allows users to export or save records, including reports, CSV files, and backup files.
When you export or back up your information, the file may be saved to your device storage, such as your Downloads folder. You are responsible for storing, sharing, deleting, or protecting exported files after they are created.
88 Mate does not intentionally send your personal tracking records to the developer, to a cloud server, or to third parties in this version.
88 Mate does not require users to create an account.
88 Mate does not sell user data.
88 Mate does not use user-entered work records for advertising.
This version of 88 Mate is designed as a local tracker. If future versions add features such as cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, login accounts, map services, or online sync, this privacy policy will be updated before those features are used.
If users open external services, such as map apps or web pages, those services may have their own privacy policies and data practices. 88 Mate does not control third-party services.
88 Mate is not designed for children. It is intended for working holiday users and adults managing their own work records.
88 Mate is designed to keep user-entered records local to the device/app environment in this version. However, no digital storage method is completely risk-free.
Users should protect their device, avoid sharing exported files publicly, and keep backup files somewhere safe.
88 Mate does not guarantee visa eligibility, visa approval, or that any evidence will be accepted by Australian authorities.
Working holiday rules, specified work requirements, eligible work types, eligible locations, evidence requirements, and visa conditions can change.
Users must always check official Australian Government guidance or speak with a registered migration agent if they need advice.
Users can delete local app data by using the app’s reset option, uninstalling the app, or clearing the app’s local storage from device settings.
Users can also export records and backups before deleting or changing devices.
This privacy policy may be updated if the app changes, especially if future versions add online services, cloud storage, analytics, advertising, account login, or third-party integrations.
