Tech Host Basics

Before hosting a Zoom Mtg:

Have a strong & reliable web connection
Be able to host on a computer screen with a camera (phone & tablet are far too difficult)
Comfortable with
- - Switching application windows quickly (E.g. Multiple browser windows open and moving/switching between "active" windows)
  - Comfortable resizing windows
  - Cut / Paste across windows
  - Zoom controls such as the Camera and Mic controls
  - Zoom meeting Chat
  - Zoom screen sharing options

Tech Hosting the Meeting (last updated 8/2/2020)

15-20 MIN BEFORE THE MTG

Using the 8111 Happiness Group Zoom Admin Account credentials launch the Zoom meeting
- https://zoom.us/j/759330481
- Password: 837655
- KNOWN ISSUE: If you as Host encounter the msg "The Host has another meeting in progress" -- Choose to "End this meeting" and start the new meeting. We're looking for a solution to this!

Launch each of the Readings in separate tabs . Be prepared to read yourself in the event an attendee is having technical difficulties.

Tip: Line the tabs up in order of use in the event you need to share or read yourself (How it Works, Tradition of the Month, etc)

DURING THE MTG

Monitor Chat Room / Chat Msgs to Everyone or Individuals
Respond to technical questions etc in chat
Monitor raised hands and assist Chair by chatting Share order to Everyone
Monitor Mic s for background noise. Mute folks when necessary
Monitor Cameras for disruptive behavior
Share your screen for Chips, Readings as necessary
Close out (remove) users from meeting if necessary. HOST NOTE: DO NOT "End for all" if people are still wanting to chat. Pass Host to someone else if necessary. Otherwise end meeting for all.
