About Us
About us : Wing formed in the community for the retired Air Force individuals along with civilians who were interested in aviation.
Our Aims: The aims of the 808 Wing include support of youth, primarily Air Cadets, along with supporting its members and other general community responsibilities. We provide social activities for our members in a building built and paid for by our members. The structure also provides offices and classrooms for 205 Collishaw Air Cadet Squadron
In addition, 808 Thunderbird Wing supports the Aims and Objectives of the National Body of the RCAF Association.
Advocacy – to advocate for a proficient, well-equipped air force in Canada
Traditions – to preserve and perpetuate the glorious traditions established in Canada’s air forces since its inception.
Air Cadets – to support the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and work closely with the Air Cadet League of Canada.
Community – to participate in local civic and community programs identified by Wings and to undertake charitable and other projects of both a national and local character
Civil/Military Air – to recognize achievements in civil and military aviation through the annual awards of the Air Force Association of Canada.
