What you need
An Xbox 360 controller and a wireless receiver for PC, or a wired controller with a USB cable.
Xpadder software, which you can download from [here].
A Mass Effect 2 Xpadder profile, which you can download from [here] or [here].
How to set up Xpadder
Connect your Xbox 360 controller to your PC and make sure it is recognized by Windows.
Launch Xpadder and click on the controller icon at the top left corner. You should see a blank image of your controller.
Click on the "Open" button at the bottom and browse to the folder where you downloaded the Mass Effect 2 Xpadder profile. Select the file and click "Open". You should see the buttons and sticks mapped to various keyboard and mouse inputs.
If you want to customize the profile, you can click on any button or stick and change its assignment. You can also add more buttons by clicking on the "New" button at the bottom.
When you are done, click on the "Save" button at the bottom and give your profile a name. You can also click on the "Close" button at the top right corner to minimize Xpadder to the system tray.
How to play Mass Effect 2 with Xpadder
Launch Mass Effect 2 and go to the options menu. Make sure that the game is set to use keyboard and mouse controls, not gamepad controls.
Start a new game or load an existing one. You should be able to control your character and interact with the game using your Xbox 360 controller.
If you want to switch back to keyboard and mouse controls, you can press the "Back" button on your controller. This will disable Xpadder temporarily until you press it again.

You can use the "Start" button on your controller to pause the game and access the menu.
You can use the left and right triggers to switch between weapons and powers.
