MoviesBox Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the MoviesBox iOS app. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
MoviesBox is an on-device video organizer, local transfer utility, and player. It lets you import videos through Apple system pickers, receive files from a computer on the same local network, transfer files between nearby Apple devices, organize your library, and play files locally.
MoviesBox:
• does not sell, rent, or license movies, TV shows, or soundtracks;
• does not include or operate a remote content catalog;
• does not stream, scrape, rip, or download media from third-party websites or services;
• does not bypass digital rights management or technical protection measures;
• is not affiliated with any studio, network, or streaming platform.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use MoviesBox on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and applicable law. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer except where law permits, rent, sublicense, or resell the App.
3. Your content and legal rights
You may import, transfer, share, and play only files you own or are legally authorized to use.
You agree not to use MoviesBox to:
• obtain unauthorized copies of copyrighted media;
• transfer, distribute, or share infringing content;
• bypass DRM or any technical protection;
• violate copyright, privacy, publicity, export, or other applicable laws;
• disrupt local networks, devices, or the App.
You are solely responsible for your files and their legality. We do not review, license, or publicly host your library.
4. Local transfers and sharing
Wi-Fi Transfer makes your device reachable at a temporary address on the same local network. Nearby Transfer connects devices selected by users. Use these features only on networks and with devices you trust. Verify the receiving device before sending a file.
The iOS share sheet may send files to third-party apps or services chosen by you. Their terms and privacy policies apply.
5. Intellectual property
The App's code, design, name, and original assets are owned by the developer or licensed to the developer. Your files remain yours or their respective owners'. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners. The App name does not indicate sponsorship by a film studio or streaming provider.
6. In-App Purchases and subscriptions
MoviesBox Pro is required to enter the main library and use its import, local transfer, organization, playback, sharing, and storage-management features.
Available products:
• Weekly — auto-renewable subscription
• Monthly — auto-renewable subscription
• Yearly — auto-renewable subscription
• Lifetime — one-time non-consumable purchase
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Prices and billing periods are displayed by StoreKit before purchase and may vary by country, storefront, currency, and tax. The Lifetime product does not renew. Eligible purchases can be restored from the Restore button on the MoviesBox Pro screen. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
MoviesBox Pro unlocks app functionality only. It does not provide movies, television programs, streaming content, or a remote media catalog.
7. Storage and backups
Imported files consume storage on your device. Removing the App may remove files stored in its sandbox. Recently Deleted is a convenience feature, not a backup service, and items may be permanently removed after 30 days. Keep independent backups of important files.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the App, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious files, interfere with another device, or use the App for illegal activity. You are responsible for activity initiated from your device.
9. Availability and compatibility
Playback depends on file integrity, codec support, device capabilities, available storage, and iOS behavior. Local transfers depend on compatible devices, permissions, and network conditions. We do not guarantee that every file or transfer will work.
10. Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF FILES, DATA, PROFITS, OR ACCESS. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may stop distributing the App or terminate access where legally permitted. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective.
13. Apple as third-party beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you. The App is licensed, not sold, by the developer. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support and is not responsible for claims relating to the App except as required by applicable law or Apple's terms.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. government prohibited or restricted-party list.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
