How to Customize Your Skills and Perks in 7 Days To Die
7 Days To Die is a survival horror game that lets you craft, build, and fight your way through a post-apocalyptic world. One of the features that makes the game challenging and fun is the progression system, which allows you to improve your skills and perks as you level up.

However, some players may want to tweak the progression system to suit their preferences and playstyle. For example, you may want to increase the number of skill points you get per level, or change the effects of certain skills and perks. Fortunately, you can do that by editing the Progression.xml file, which contains all the settings related to the progression system.
In this article, we will show you how to locate and edit the Progression.xml file, and what options you can change to customize your skills and perks in 7 Days To Die.
Locating the Progression.xml File
The Progression.xml file is located in the Data/Config folder of your 7 Days To Die installation directory. Depending on where you installed the game, it may look something like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Config\Progression.xml
You can use any text editor to open and edit the file, but we recommend using Notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/) for better readability and syntax highlighting.
Editing the Progression.xml File
The Progression.xml file contains several sections that define different aspects of the progression system. Each section has a set of attributes that control various parameters. You can change the values of these attributes to modify how the progression system works.
Before you edit the file, make sure to back it up in case something goes wrong. Also, be careful not to change anything that you are not sure about, as it may cause errors or crashes in the game.
