Hi students and families! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as your fifth grade language and science teacher! First and foremost, I want you to know that I am here, working hard to ensure your child is successful this school year! Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! This school year will certainly be filled with learning, fun, and lots of adventure (online learning alone is an adventure!!). I can't wait to see what this school year has in store! Here are a few things about myself.
I have lived in Maryland most of my life, moving to the Baltimore area over 10 years ago. I first moved here to attend Towson University. Shortly after graduating, I landed my first teaching job in Baltimore City and have not left since! I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2013 with a Masters in Supervision and Administration. This year will be my eighth year teaching in Baltimore and my second at Hampstead Hill Academy!
When I have free time, I love to watch sports (football & hockey in particular), travel, spend time with friends and family, shop online, and get creative with my Cricut! This summer, I got married!
I look forward to working with you and your child this school year! Please let me know if you have any questions of concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us. I look forward to a great year together!
