Coton-in-the-Elms is a quiet village with good road links. Situated in the National Forest, it was one of the first areas to be planted, so the woodlands, walks and bridleways are maturing well.
There really is so much to do in this area. New visitor attractions have come thick and fast with the development of the National Forest.
If you like walking, cycling, horseriding or fishing, we have all of these too, right on our doorstep. Many of our guests visit Drayton Manor Park and Thomasland or Alton Towers. Just a few minutes away we have the new National Football Centre at St. Georges Park, the National Memorial Arboretum, National Brewery Centre, Barton Marina, Conkers, Rosliston Forestry Centre and the new National Forest Cycle Centre at Hick's Lodge.
Nearby towns are Burton-on-Trent, Swadlincote, Lichfield, Tamworth, Derby, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Measham.
Due to it’s location 50 Mill Street could be a good place to meet up with friends from other parts of the country. Should you wish to arrive by train, the nearest station is Burton on Trent and the 22 bus goes to Coton-in-the-Elms. We would advise you to come by car.
You will find the cottage is clean, warm, comfortable and very well equipped.
