Do not go to the baking aisle trying to find the chocolate stars with the chocolate chips. You will find them over in the candy aisle of your grocery store. Somewhere near the chocolate covered peanuts and gummy worms!

Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture, a little at a time, until it is completely combined. NOTE: make sure to not over mix the dough at this point or you will have tough little hockey puck cookies.

Roll the cookie dough into small balls, a little smaller than a golf ball (it will be a heaping tablespoon of dough). Roll the dough in the sugar and then place on a parchment paper or silpat lined baking sheet.

This cookie combines a real favourite for our house, PB and Chocolate. I tend to shy away from Shortening too, although I have one in my fridge, though I use about 1/8th of it and then after a year or so, in the trash it goes.

If you are looking for an easy, failproof cookie recipe, this one is for you. The dough itself only needs 5 basic ingredients, and the icing 3. You can leave the cookies without any decorations, and they are still insanely delicious.

The texture is soft and delicate, and the vanilla flavour is just lovely. And the best thing about these cookies is that you can get the kids involved too, making it a fun Christmas activity. I have this collection of Easy Christmas Treats For Kids, and these cookies fit so well here too.

These Christmas star cookies are not only yummy, but also really fun to make. And very easy too. Just a few simple ingredients: butter, granulated sugar, plain flour, eggs, a bit of vanilla extract (or any other of your choice) to bring even more flavour, a bit of kneading, a bit of chilling, oven on, and ta-daah, some pretty little stars.

Use any shape you like, it doesn't have to be stars, but make sure they are pretty much the same size so they can bake at the same time evenly. Most supermarkets will sell cookie shapes, especially at this time of the year.

Don't get the trays in at the same time, better one by one to ensure an even bake. Depending on the size on your cookies, they should take 8-10 minutes to bake, but make sure to check them after 8 minutes.

Anyway, l did try my best with these cookies, l think in the end they don't look as bad as l thought they would. So, l'm kind of happy with the result. Give these easy cut out cookies a try, they are super douper yummy.

This is the best chocolate chip cookies recipe ever! No funny ingredients, no chilling time, etc. Just a simple, straightforward, amazingly delicious, doughy yet still fully cooked, chocolate chip cookie that turns out perfectly every single time!

I prefer to flash-freeze the cookie dough before putting it in an airtight container. To do this, roll the cookie dough into balls and space them out on a parchment lined baking sheet. Then put the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the dough slightly freezes.

Take a break from the Christmas madness to make Christmas Cookies! These sugar cookies are classic vanilla biscuits that are made for cutting out shapes because they hold their shape perfectly when baked.

These cookies are honestly delicious, I almost smashed the whole batch myself ?. I love to cook and bake, and cookies never work out for me, but this recipe is fool proof! I would 100000% make these again and again, and alter decorations and shapes for various occasions. Love, love, love them!

Festive red white and blue star-spangled cookies that are perfect as a patriotic Memorial Day or 4th of July celebration dessert. Recipe includes a quick video showing how easy it is to decorate these cookies!

With those notes in mind, this marble/swirl glaze technique is really, really easy to pull off. When I shared my Galaxy cookies, I shared a lot of step-by-step photos that I hoped would be useful. You can refer back to those, but this time, instead of step-by-step photos, I included a video right below the recipe so that you can see exactly how the glaze technique is done.

So, what is a gluten-free mom to do for a wheat-filled, sugar laden holiday celebration? I devised a holiday dessert recipe for the parents who had volunteered to bake star cookies. Then I assembled bags with the recipe, parchment paper, a cookie cutter and the ingredients.

I only make these at Christmastime. Unlike my mom who would make them any time the mood hit her, I think they are a great cookie to make at Christmastime, because they are so easy to make and since we all tend to be a little busier at Christmastime anyway, I like to save the easy cookie and square recipes for December. It just eases my stress levels.

I was excited when I saw the name of this bar. Five Star was my favourite chocolate bar in about 1965. It cost 5 cents and was available at our local movie theatre. When I talk about it no one knows what I am talking about so either it was not available everywhere or they are not one of those people who live to eat. It was chewy and felt like it had fine coconut in it. Loved it and cannot wait to try this recipe. Gave 5 stars without testing it but it is worth just for the memories of a happy childhood.

So I found another recipe on Food Network and sort of made a combination of both recipes. I have to tell you, these cookies are delicious! They remind me of a French, cinnamon macaron because they also just happen to be gluten free!

These make perfect cookies for an exchange or to give to friends and neighbors because they keep for a long time. Give them on a pretty Christmas plates which they can keep! Zimtsterne are also great to ship in care packages for the same reason. If you need to, they freeze perfectly, too.
