Interesting fact: The pH in the soil changing from acidic to a base will turn the flowers of a hydrangea plant to pink.

Photograph Description: Morning Peace and Beauty Pink Lotus. A lotus flower has many different meanings to people of many different cultures. To me when I see this flower, I am filled with the feeling of peace and beauty. How delicately its petals transition from a vibrant pink to white then to a calming yellow glow like the morning sunrise.

Interesting fact: This particular lotus flower is about its actual size with its leaves being almost ten inches in diameter. The flower blooms about four feet above the water's surface and one foot above its leaves. This bloom stands high above to show its magnificent beauty.
