About Me: I am so excited, nervous, and feeling challenged to be starting my 18th year of teaching in WNC. I taught 11 years in Haywood County, 3 years in Henderson County, and just finished my 4th year in Buncombe County. All my years have been in 4th or 5th grade and I also have a degree in Middle Grades Math 6-9. I received my college education from Western Carolina University (Go Cats!!). This will be an awesome year working along side Mrs. Grainger and her previous relationships with the students.
About Me: I am so excited, nervous, and feeling challenged to be starting my 18th year of teaching in WNC. I taught 11 years in Haywood County, 3 years in Henderson County, and just finished my 4th year in Buncombe County. All my years have been in 4th or 5th grade and I also have a degree in Middle Grades Math 6-9. I received my college education from Western Carolina University (Go Cats!!). Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, wading in mountain rivers, reading books, family time with my husband and daughter, Ayla (14), and walks with my miniature schnauzer (Lily).

I am SO excited to be co-teaching with Mrs. Penley this year for the fully remote class. Technology is a passion of mine and I have a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State University. I love experimenting with new technology...I think it makes learning exciting and fun!
