Ok technically these are on a ramp from I-376 but.. THEY'RE SO CLOSE
Just a duplicate of the previous sign. Maybe put, like, a distance to the exit or something? Do signs do that? I think they do
I really despise the sign on the left. Why is the font so large while the "EXIT ONLY" in the bottom panel is so small? Not to mention its written in nasty Clearview... Thank god PA is starting to phase that out.
So this is sort of a "Part 2" to I-279 - i went out 2 separate days. You can see by the aggressive looking weather that i didn't plan this out very well. Anyway, the right two signs are odd. Only PA does them like this, usually you would make one large panel with two arrows pointing down, the shield, cardinal direction, and a destination. These are all carbon copies of old button copies that used to stand here, just with clearview.
I love this view. Its so nice to be able to see everything, while also drive under the highest bridge in the city - Swindell Bridge (eventual link here)
camera started to have troubles here. It got too dark to use the same setting so i had to change them a few signs later.
The variable message part of the sign reads "CLOSED".
At this point i had finally gotten it under control but its still a bit bright for the BWS on the left. Oh well.
This sign is actually new - they used to have a diagrammatic instead of an arrow-per-lane sign, but then they changed it probaly late 2019.
Way better in person IMO
Ugh. Not only is it a bad photo, but this sign also used to be button copy recently.
