The Story of Zhudong Forestry

Did you know that, besides the well-known forests of Alishan, Basianshan, and Taipingshan, there is also a forest in Zhudong—once praised as “another Alishan”? While the Zhudong Forest may not carry the same long-standing legacy as those older, its unique history has secured itself as an important chapter in Taiwan’s forestry heritage.

"The Stories of Zhudong's Forestry" tells the history of the people, Zhudong town, and the surrounding mountains and forests through old photographs, maps, and archives.
