This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application 4 In A Row Deluxe ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Lapiyano Manganhe, handles information when you use it. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary (Plain English)
The App is a single- and two-player Connect-4 style game for Android.
We do not require you to create an account and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or address.
The App does not collect content you create and has no social, chat, or messaging features.
We use Google AdMob to show ads and Google Firebase (Analytics and Remote Config) to understand how the game is used and to manage update notifications.
These third-party services may collect certain technical and usage data, including a mobile advertising identifier, as described below.
Your game settings, statistics, and progress are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to us.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (see the Children's Privacy section).
2. Who Is Responsible for Your Data
The data controller for this App is:

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at the email above.
3. Information We Collect
We have designed the App to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible. We do not ask you to register, log in, or provide identifying details.
3.1 Information stored only on your device (not sent to us)
The following information is created and stored locally on your device (for example, using the device's local storage). It stays on your device and is not transmitted to the developer:
Game preferences and settings (e.g., sound, theme, difficulty).
Game statistics, match history, scores, and achievement/trophy progress.
Local flags used by the App (for example, which update notification you have already dismissed).
This data is removed when you uninstall the App or clear the App's data from your device settings.
3.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services
When you use the App, the third-party services listed in Section 5 may automatically collect certain information from your device. This may include:
Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / AAID) used for ads and analytics.
Device and technical information, such as device model, operating system version, language, region/country, screen characteristics, app version, and unique installation identifiers.
Usage and event data, such as which game modes are opened, when a game starts and ends, game results and duration, screens viewed, session information, and approximate interaction data.
Approximate, non-precise location derived from IP address or device settings (for example, country or region) used for analytics and ad delivery. The App does not request or use precise GPS location.
Ad interaction data, such as ads served, ad impressions, and ad clicks.
This information is processed by the third-party providers under their own privacy policies. We access it only in aggregated or de-identified form (for example, total number of games played, popular game modes, crash trends).
3.3 Information we do NOT collect
We do not knowingly collect:
Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
Your contacts, photos, files, or microphone/camera content for identification purposes.
Precise GPS location.
Payment or financial information (the App does not currently sell in-app purchases).
Note: The App may request standard audio-related permissions on your device to play game sound effects and audio playback. This audio is generated by the App and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.
4. How We Use Information
We and our third-party providers use the information described above to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its game features.
Display advertisements, including personalized or non-personalized ads (see Section 6).
Understand how players use the App (for example, which game modes are most popular) so we can improve gameplay and fix problems.
Diagnose technical issues, crashes, and performance problems.
Deliver in-app notifications about available app updates via Firebase Remote Config.
Protect the App against fraud, abuse, and security risks.
Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build a personal profile that identifies you by name, and we do not sell your personal information for money.
5. Third-Party Services We Use
The App relies on the following third-party services. Each provider processes data according to its own privacy policy:
5.1 Google AdMob (advertising)
Used to display banner and interstitial advertisements within the App.
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
5.2 Google Firebase Analytics
Used to collect anonymous, aggregated usage and event data (for example, game starts, game results, screen views) to help us understand and improve the App.
Firebase Privacy and Security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5.3 Google Firebase Remote Config
Used to deliver configuration values and to power non-blocking "update available" notifications inside the App. It periodically downloads small configuration values (such as the latest available app version). It does not upload your personal content.
5.4 Google Play Services
Required for the App to run on Android, to deliver updates through the Google Play Store, and to support the services above.
Google Play Terms: https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/
These providers may transfer and process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States, subject to their own safeguards.
6. Advertising and Your Choices
The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. Ads may be:
Personalized – tailored using your advertising identifier and inferred interests, or
Non-personalized – based on contextual or coarse information rather than your interests.
You can control ad personalization at any time through your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads. There you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization ("Opt out of Ads Personalization").
Resetting or deleting your advertising ID limits the ability of advertisers to associate ad data with you. You may still see ads, but they will be less personalized.
For more information about Google's advertising and your controls, visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
7. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we (and our providers) process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
Consent – for personalized advertising and non-essential analytics, where required. Where consent is required, you will be asked for it, and you may withdraw it at any time through your device settings.
Legitimate interests – to operate, secure, and improve the App, and to display non-personalized ads.
Legal obligation – to comply with applicable laws.
Where required by law, ad partners may present a consent request (for example, a consent dialog) before serving personalized ads.
8. Data Retention
On-device data (settings, stats, progress) remains on your device until you delete the App's data or uninstall the App.
Third-party data (analytics and advertising data) is retained by Google/Firebase according to their retention policies and the retention settings we configure. Aggregated analytics data is typically retained for a limited period (for example, up to 14 months) and is not personally identifying to us.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for or directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at morrismanganhe@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to address the issue.
Because the App uses advertising, it is intended for a general audience and may not be appropriate for children's programs without additional configuration.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
Access the personal data held about you.
Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.
Because we do not collect information that directly identifies you, we may be unable to locate data tied to a specific individual. However, you can exercise most ad- and analytics-related rights directly:
Limit ad tracking / reset advertising ID: through your Android device settings (Section 6).
Other requests: contact us at morrismanganhe@gmail.com, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Data Security
We rely on the security measures provided by Google Play, Firebase, and AdMob, including encryption of data in transit. Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security mechanisms. While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Data Transfers
The third-party services we use are operated by Google and may process and store data on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. These transfers are subject to the providers' own safeguards and applicable data-protection laws.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Contact Us
