The Türkiye Local NGO Humanitarian Forum (TİF) was established by members of the Localization Advocacy Group immediately after the 6 February Earthquakes to strengthen the participation of local and national civil society organizations in the United Nations–led earthquake coordination mechanism.
After the earthquake, TİF worked in close coordination with international actors to ensure that local and national civil society organizations could participate as stakeholders in recovery efforts with their diverse areas of expertise. Establishing equitable relationships and partnerships between members and international organizations supports a faster and more inclusive recovery process. In addition, these relationships play a critical role in improving access to grant resources and strengthening coordination.
