Mülteci Destek Derneği (MUDEM) was established in Ankara in 2014 to carry out activities in Türkiye and abroad aimed at addressing the challenges faced by forcibly displaced persons. Since its establishment, MUDEM has been providing social and legal assistance to help asylum-seekers access rights and services, delivering psychosocial assistance, and organizing various activities to support social cohesion. MUDEM continues its work through its centres located across different regions of Türkiye.
Its activities are implemented by teams of lawyers, protection specialists, interpreters, psychologists, trainers for health, social workers, field staff, disability specialists and mobile field teams. With its expert staff, MUDEM works in cooperation with local authorities and other civil society organizations to facilitate refugees’ access to rights and services.
