Türkiye’s protection response, guided by the Law on Foreigners and International Protection and supported by the Presidency of Migration Management (PMM) and the Ministry of Family and Social Services among other public institutions, collaborates with 3RP partners to strengthen service delivery and enhance community-based protection mechanisms for Syrians under temporary protection, international protection applicants and status holders, and persons pending registration and documentation, prioritizing persons with specific needs within context of limited resources and capacities.
In addition to the National Protection Working Group (NPWG), the sector includes sub-national Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence Working Groups, which support coordination and technical guidance at the national level. Furthermore, additional provincial and regional protection coordination platforms operate in various locations across the country to strengthen linkages with local authorities and institutions, address context-specific protection needs, and ensure that national guidance is effectively translated into field-level action.
