PICKUP PROCESS:
1. Arrive on time to our warehouse at 6:00AM
2. Park vehicle at a legal parking spot at our warehouse, or at a specified PigeonShip (PS) pick up bay.
3. Meet the PigeonShip Warehouse Lead/Manager and introduce that you are new driver who has been assigned a route.
4. Identify the Route Number you will be picking up by checking the "View Notes button on the delivery tab of your delivery or by asking the Lead Driver/Supervisor. Click Arrive for Pick Up Button
5. Before scanning parcels, change the PS app scanner to the "Purolator" scanner by selecting "Delivery Details" (Delivery Details in Tellow on top of the screen) and click "Purolator" scanner (SCREENSHOT 1A BELOW).
6. Go to warehouse lead and check-in using the provided laptop.
7. Begin scanning your assigned packages. Scan the middle barcode to avoid any errors. The route is optimized so that each scan will provide a unique stop number that will pop up on your screen.
8. Handwrite the stop number on the package if the stop number is not printed on the label. If stop number is printed, visually confirm the stop number on the package with the stop number that pops up in the app. (Ex. keep packages numbered 1-10 together, 11-20 together, and so on).
9. If while scanning an error comes up as “Not Found” , set that package aside in a separate pile and notify the PigeonShip Warehouse lead at the end, but continue scanning all remaining items.
10. If while scanning an error comes up as “Request Forbidden” , set that package aside in a separate pile and notify the PigeonShip Warehouse lead at the end, but continue scanning all remaining items.
11. For all packages that were set aside follow the insturction of your warehouse lead.
12. Once all packages are scanned properly, the app will grey out the scanning section, and you can then show the Warehouse Lead/Lead Driver and get approval to move onto the next step.
13. Once approved, take a Master Pickup Photo showing all packages. If all packages cannot be shown in one Master Photo, take a 2nd Master Photo by clicking the camera icon again for a second photo.
14. Once Master Photo is uploaded, you may click the "Pickup Complete" button (SCREENSHOT 2A BELOW).

15. Now that scanning and pickup is complete you can start loading up your vehicle according to the piles of packages arranged earlier. Make sure you load your vehicle by starting from the higher numbered packages first and then lower numbered packages last.
PERFORMING DELIVERIES:
1. Once all packages are carefully loaded in your vehicle, make sure that all doors of vehicles are securely closed.
2. You are ready to head for your first delivery by clicking on the yellow section marked "Proceed to Delivery" at the bottom of the PS app (under "View Native Map") (SCREENSHOT 2A BELOW). After clicking on "Proceed to Delivery", the app will move you over to the next tab showing a green pickup and delivery address.
3. Click on the "In Transit" button at the bottom center of the app (SCREENSHOT 1B BELOW), then proceed to drive to your first drop-off location.
4. Click on "Navigate to Delivery" section of the app to take you to your first stop by selecting your preferred GPS app.
5. Click on the "View Notes" section in the middle of the app (SCREENSHOT 1B BELOW) and pay careful attention to any specific delivery notes or instructions, including possible gate or buzz codes.
6. Once at drop off location, take the package out of vehicle and confirm that the address written on the package label is the same street address that appears on the house that you are standing in front of and are delivering to, and also check the stop number that you marked on the package as stop "1".
7. Do a Visual Dropoff Scan while taking the package out of your vehicle, this will eliminate the likelihood of taking the wrong package out of your vehicle.
8. Take the package to the house or apartment door and make sure the spot is safe to drop. GENTLY set the package on the doorstep.
9. Take at least 2 Dropoff Photos - 1 photo of where you are leaving the package showing the door frame/house number and any unique identifiable features, and a 2nd Photo can be a general photo of where the package has been left. Multiple Dropoff Photos can be taken by clicking the Dropoff Photo button again.
10. After taking the Photos, knock on the door or ring the bell and then return back to your vehicle.
11. You can now click the green “Mark Delivered” button for that order in your app, and it will automatically move you to the next delivery in your route.
IN CASE A DELIVERY IS UNSUCCESSFUL:
A delivery may be unsuccessful however it has to fall under one of the legitimate reasons set by PigeonShip and Hailify. When unsuccessful, please follow these steps:
1. DO NOT click the green “Marked Delivered” section in the app.
2. INSTEAD, click “Update Status” at the bottom left of the app (SCREENSHOT 1B BELOW).
3. Then select “Delivery Attempted” (SCREENSHOT 1C BELOW).
4. Select the appropriate "Delivery Attempted Action" from the drop down menu (like "missing unit number" , etc.) (SCREENSHOT 2C-3C BELOW).
5. Write a note or two in the "Describe" section to explain why the delivery was unsuccessful. Write as much information as you can to justify the return.
6. Take the package back to your vehicle.
7. Once your route is completed, you will return any unsuccessful packages back to the warehouse that day between 7-9PM EST or next day between 5-8AM EST. Any packages returned after this time will be considered late.
8. At the warehouse, locate the designated return bin and place the package there. Let any warehouse associate or Warehouse lead know about your returns. Alternatively, there might be a package return bin available as well.
9. In the PS Driver app, click on the "Dropoff Photo" button and take a Dropoff Photo of the package in the designated return area. or a photo that shows packages in the warehouse being returned
10. In the PS Driver app, scan the package before finalizing the return.
11. In the app click "Update Status" , then select "Return" and fill out the small form that pops up with the appropriate return information. Be sure to select "Return to Pickup Address", and for "Type Address", select "Use Current Location" (SCREENSHOT 4C BELOW). When complete, click on "Proceed" at the bottom right of the app.
12. Do steps 8-12 for each and every package that you are returning.
