He’d made a promise a long time ago. To become the Greatest Swordsman. To do so he had to beat the legendary S-Class mage, Titania.

When his master had taught him all that he could he set out from his rural village in search of the mage, knowing only that she was a member of Fairy Tail. A legendary guild in its own right and home to several young and powerful S-Class mages. The only problem was finding it.

In his journey to the guild, one that was more of a long, roundabout, deer path through the forest than the typical straight path many would take he took on odd jobs here and there. Defeating a few smaller dark guilds and mages for money until his own reputation began to proceed him. Soon, he became recognized as the Three Bladed Demon. A bounty hunter known for taking down rouge mages and assassins using the Three Sword Style.

It was during one of his stops in a town near Magnolia that he ran into Natsu and Lucy. Long story short, he ended up dragged into a bar fight with the pair and then another fight with some dark mages. During the fights, Natsu discovered his lifelong goal and dragged him back to Magnolia to see him challenge Erza.

….Somehow he also ended up joining the guild?
